Air Liquide: investment in ASUs for Aurubis

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide announces that it will invest around 100 million euros to supply Aurubis, a leading non-ferrous metals producer and one of the world's largest copper recycling groups, in Bulgaria and Germany.


This investment will include a new Air Separation Unit (ASU) in western Bulgaria and the modernization of four existing units in Germany, to supply the customer with high volumes of oxygen and nitrogen.

The Bulgarian production unit, which will have a power consumption 7% lower than the ASUs it will replace, should be operational in 2027, and the refurbishment of the German ASUs should be completed in the same year.
