Air Liquide: acquires stake in H2V Normandy

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide today announces the acquisition of a 40% stake in H2V Normandy, with a view to building an electrolyser complex with a capacity of up to 200 MW, for the large-scale production of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen in France.


Located in the industrial zone of Port-Jérôme in Normandy, this project aims to supply hydrogen for industrial applications and future heavy mobility applications. It will avoid the emission of 250,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The industrial gas group will bring its expertise of operating for over 50 years in the sector to this project. In particular, it has deployed a unique solution for the production of low-carbon hydrogen via CO2 capture at its Port-Jérôme production site.
