JCDecaux: new self-service bicycles for Toulouse
(CercleFinance.com) - From August 28 to 30, JCDecaux announced the deployment of new mechanical and electrically-assisted self-service bicycles (VLS) in the city of Toulouse, following the successful tender won in June 2023 for a 12-year contract.
For this new service, 400 stations have been deployed, representing a reinforced network of 117 new stations, as well as 3,300 new bicycles, which are offered for hire to meet the growing demand from Toulousans.
JCDecaux specifies that 50% of the fleet deployed is made up of electrically-assisted bicycles with on-board batteries that can be recharged in-station, thanks to the modernization of stations and attachment points, on which recharging devices have been integrated.
