JCDecaux: 15 year contract for Shanghai metro

(CercleFinance.com) - Today JCDecaux announced that it has signed a 15-year contract for the extension of advertising on lines 1 to 13 of the Shanghai metro, as well as on five new lines, which will be operated in a joint venture with Shanghai Shentong Assets Management.


This metro has 503 stations with an average of 11 million daily passengers in 2021. The contract covers more than 12,000 backlit advertising spaces, as well as around 500 digital screens, event formats and in-train advertising.

JCDecaux has said that it is present in 12 Chinese cities and operates advertising on 47 metro lines in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Beijing, Suzhou and Tianjin, with a daily audience of 35 million passengers in 2021.
