Hermes: Q1 sales up 44% to E2,084m

(CercleFinance.com) - The luxury goods group's consolidated sales reached 2,084 million euros in the first quarter of 2021 (+44% at constant exchange rates and +38% at current exchange rates).


The group benefited from the performance of Asia and Japan, the recovery in the Americas and the resilience of Europe. Like-for-like growth compared to the first quarter of 2019 reached 33%.

The group's stores saw an acceleration in sales, which rose by 51% compared with 2020 and by 41% compared with the first quarter of 2019.

Leather Goods-Saddlery sales (+34%) accelerated in the first quarter, driven by strong year-end deliveries. The Clothing and Accessories division posted +51% growth. Silk and Textiles grew by 34%. Perfumes and Beauty (+21%) grew and benefited from the February launch of the new men's fragrance H24.

The Group has confirmed an ambitious sales growth target at constant exchange rates.
