Atos: acquisition in high performance computing

(CercleFinance.com) - Atos today announced that it has strengthened its High Performance Computing (HPC) offering with the acquisition of Nimbix, a leading HPC cloud platform provider based near Dallas, Texas, which has completed thousands of HPC cloud projects in 68 countries.


Nimbix provides cloud and on-premise HPC solutions to help engineers and scientists design, compute, analyse and deploy artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and deep learning simulations and applications.

The acquisition of Nimbix will also enable Atos to expand its HPC offerings in key markets such as manufacturing, financial services and insurance, healthcare and life sciences, government and defence.

The market is hailing this flurry of deals this morning - the Atos share is up over 2.5% in early trading in a pretty flat market.
