Atos: award for Joliot-Curie supercomputer

(CercleFinance.com) - Atos announces that Joliot-Curie, with a power of 22 petaflop/s, is the most powerful open academic and industrial research supercomputer in France and the third most powerful in Europe, according to a TOP500 ranking published on 22 June.


This supercomputer, derived from the co-design work carried out by the CEA with Atos for over 20 years, is notably equipped with the latest AMD Rome processors integrated into Atos' BullSequana XH2000 platform.

Inaugurated a year ago, Joliot-Curie has been running at full capacity for the past six months, serving a dozen areas such as climate, astrophysics, geophysics, biology, as well as the genome and neuroscience fields.
