Eurofins: new EUA for Covid test in US

(CercleFinance.com) - Eurofins Scientific has announced that its subsidiary empowerDX's Covid-19 home test kit has received Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for children aged three years and older.


The direct-to-consumer company is the first to receive an EUA for a nasal home PCR test for young children. empowerDX launched its FDA-cleared Covid home test in the third quarter of 2020 for people aged 18 and above.

The bioanalytical services group adds that the company's tests are now available without a prescription on empowerdxlab.com, Amazon, RiteAid as well as via Uber's on-demand delivery service.
