Nokia: new record with Elisa in Finland
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia, Elisa and Qualcomm Technologies have announced that they have achieved record 5G uplink speeds of 2.
This was achieved during a live demonstration at the Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland.
The new record will enable Elisa to offer high-performance, low-latency services that will improve the experience of site visitors. The solution should be fully deployed next year.
During the trial, Nokia provided its AirScale base station in the 26 GHz millimeter wave spectrum on Elisa's commercial 5G network.
It said that once deployed, the service will create new opportunities for on-premises data services, such as real-time multi-user 8K ultra-high definition video streaming and augmented reality content for smartphones or wearable devices for immersive experiences.
