Nokia: deal with Orange
(CercleFinance.com) - Orange and Nokia have reached an agreement to increase the use of refurbished equipment in telecommunication infrastructures.
The process of refurbishing equipment results in a reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the manufacture of new equipment. Furthermore, through this contract, Orange and Nokia want to offer a competitive and reliable alternative to network operators.
"On the Orange side, this agreement is part of a larger programme called OSCAR which will contribute to the achievement of the Net Zero Carbon objective in 2040 set by the group," Orange said.
This deal seems better for Nokia: in late morning trading today, Nokia shares are up about 1.3%, while Orange shares are down by about this.
