Nokia: to develop services for Openreach

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has announced an agreement with Openreach, which enables the deployment of fiber solutions for ultra-fast and reliable broadband access to 20 million homes in the UK by the mid-to-late 2020s.


Openreach is focused on extending its fiber networks to better meet consumer demand.

This deployment with Nokia focuses on deploying GPON and XGS-PON fiber optic access technologies to reach 4.5 million premises by the end of 2021.

Openreach said that this new digital platform will help our economy bounce back faster from the Covid-19 pandemic - allowing both people to continue working from home - along with millions of businesses continuing to operate.
