Nokia: launches 4G/5G slicing

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is launching a new slicing functionality for 4G and 5G networks, becoming the first telecom gear maker to offer this capability.


The solution provides sliced mobile broadband connectivity from device to radio, transport, core, to applications in private and public networks and the cloud, the company said.

It enables operators to offer new mobile connectivity services for enterprise, Internet of Things, private wireless and fixed wireless access, it added.

Austria's A1 Telekom and Telia Finland are the first operators to conduct lives test of Nokia's new network slicing feature.
