Siemens Gamesa: wins offshore wind-turbine deal in Taiwan

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has won an order to supply another 20 wind turbines to Formosa 1, an offshore wind power plant located around six kilometres off the coast of Taiwan.


One year after the project's commissioning, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) today signed a deal to supply additional capacity of 120 MW for phase 2 of the project.

In addition to the turbine supply agreement, a 15-year service agreement has been signed to include the provision of spare parts and tools, the group said.

Turbines are expected to start being installed in 2019.
