Caixabank: 2022 net income up almost 30%

8% to 12 billion euros, driven by a 7.7% increase in the banking group's net interest margin and a 33.1% rise in income and expenses from insurance contracts.

It reported earnings of 3.15 billion euros in 2022, up 29.7% y-o-y and LFL.

Gross profit increased by 5.5% y-o-y to 11.6 billion euros, while recurring administrative and depreciation expenses decreased by 5.6% y-o-y, thanks to synergies from the integration of Bankia, which enabled a 19.8% increase in profit before depreciation.
