Novo Nordisk: stock buybacks continue

(CercleFinance.com) - Novo Nordisk, the world's biggest producer of diabetes drugs, said on Monday that it had bought back 460,000 of its own shares over the past week for 187.
3 million Danish kronor (about 25 million euros).

The Danish drugmaker said the buybacks are part of a program under which the company plans to repurchase B shares for up to 2.1 billion Danish kronor (around 280 million euros) from 6 November 2019 to 3 February 2020.

With the latest transactions, Novo Nordisk said it has accumulated close to 4.4 million B shares for a total of 1.7 billion dollars.

The firm said that it now owns a total of 49.3 million B shares, corresponding to 2.1% of its share capital, held as treasury shares, it added.
