flatexDEGIRO: reaches 2.5 million client accounts in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - flatexDEGIRO has published its preliminary results for the 1st quarter of 2023.
Revenue comes out at 98.3 million euros, down 16.7% compared to the same period in 2022.

At the same time, EBITDA shrank 45%, from 54.5 to 29.9 million euros, with a 30.4% margin.

With the creation of 112,000 new accounts in the first quarter, flatexDEGIRO can now boast 2.5 million client accounts, a figure up 13.2% in one year. The number of transactions realised is, however, significantly down, from 21.9 to 16.3 million (-25.4%).

"The commercial and financial performance of the first quarter has been very much in line with our expectations and the guidance we have provided for the full year 2023”, underlines Frank Niehage, CEO of flatexDEGIRO.

“In these challenging times, retail investors continue to trust our platform for their investment decision. This was evidenced once more over the last three months by the opening of over 112,000 new customer accounts,” he concludes.
