E.ON.: strengthens collaboration with Microsoft

ON has announced that it is expanding its cooperation with Microsoft to develop new sustainability solutions for the future. Both partners intend to jointly identify new projects and develop solutions using technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analysis, amongst other things.

The innovation collaboration will provide both partners with a faster learning curve in terms of developing products and services for customers, as well as more efficient processes in their organisations, E.ON says.

The first project of the innovation collaboration is the 'algorithmic hedging' process, a process that analyses the current market situation on the basis of machine learning and enables hedging decisions to be implemented automatically.

However, with investors little enthused by this news, the E.ON share is not quite afloat in Frankfurt this morning, while tech giant Microsoft shares are also down (-0.7%) in pre-market trading.
