E.ON: to install BMW's charging points in Germany

ON has received a major order from BMW, with the German utility giant set to install and operate one of the largest charging networks in Germany at the carmaker's locations.

Last month BMW said that it would install over 4,100 charging points for electrified vehicles at its German locations by 2021.

The power supply is provided by renewable energies, E.ON said today. Around half of the charging points will be accessible to the public.

A large proportion of the charging points will be installed in the greater Munich area. Further locations are Berlin or Leipzig.
