Daimler Truck: Oddo's top pick in sector

(CercleFinance.com) - Oddo BHF reinstates its "outperform" rating on Daimler Truck shares, along with its target price of 37 euros, which is its top pick amongst European truck manufacturers, a sector which it believes finished 2022 on track.


The continued deterioration of leading indicators naturally raises questions about the sustainability of this momentum, the analyst warns, however, who is relatively optimistic about demand, but who warns against a continued inflationary impact in 2023.

In this light, Oddo remains selective and favours a combination of solidity and self-help, which leads it to maintain Daimler Truck as a top pick, while downgrading Volvo shares to "neutral", while maintaining Traton shares at "neutral" and Iveco shares at "underperform".
