BASF: optimizing biocatalytic processes

(CercleFinance.com) - BASF announces that its researchers, in partnership with the Austrian Research Center for Industrial Biotechnology (acib) and the University of Graz, have co-developed a new computer-aided model aimed at improving enzymatic performance and accelerating the scale-up of biocatalytic processes.


This model facilitates the determination of optimal combinations of temperature and solvent concentration, thus reducing R&D efforts, costs and resource consumption, while improving the sustainability of biocatalysis.

The results of this research have been published in the scientific journal Nature Communications.
