BASF: expands deal for digital manufacturing with HP

(CercleFinance.com) - German chemical company BASF said that it has struck a deal with HP that extends its strategic relations in digital manufacturing with the PC and printer maker.


The companies said they are working together to jointly develop new applications for the auto, consumer, medical, and industrial manufacturing sectors.

Their collaboration is based on the launch of a new polypropylene material that BASF specifically developed for HP's 3D printers, enabling them to manufacture parts faster, cheaper and in greater volumes, BASF and HP said.
