Volkswagen: in consortium for proposed takeover bid on Europ

(CercleFinance.com) - Europcar Mobility Group has announced that it has entered into an agreement to support a proposed takeover bid by a consortium formed from Volkswagen Group Attestor Capital and Pon Holdings, through a dedicated company called Green Mobility Holding.


This takeover bid on Europcar shares would be made in cash at 0.50 euro per share, potentially increased by a price supplement of 0.01 euro if the 90% squeeze-out threshold is reached at the end of the offer (including dividends).

It is expected that Attestor will tender all of its Europcar shares (i.e. approximately 12.8% of its share capital) to Green Mobility Holding. The other main shareholders representing approximately 55.3% of the share capital have already given firm commitments to tender their shares to the offer.
