Wirecard: another dynamic quarter

(CercleFinance.com) - As the second largest riser in the DAX 30 today after Bayer, Wirecard shares were still up 2% this morning after releasing preliminary quarterly results that were marked by continued strong and profitable growth.

In Frankfurt, the share has risen by 15% the past week.

From January to March, the leading German electronic payments group recorded a consolidated turnover of two billion euros, up 35.4% as reported, considering that transactions processed by Wirecard over the period soared 37.3% to 124.9 billion euros.

Likewise, quarterly EBITDA rose by 36.6% to 560.5 million euros, meaning a margin of 27.8%. The group's underlying earnings rose by 35.7% to 347.4 million euros. Meanwhile, free cash flow generation soared 50% to 423.9 million euros.

For FY 2019, Wirecard still targets EBITDA of between 740 million and 800 million euros,

In addition, the group's AGM of 18 June will decide on increasing the group's FY 2018 dividend from 0.18 euro to 0.20 euro (+11.1%).
