SAP: acquires Emarsys, a specialist in customer engagement
(CercleFinance.com) - Last night SAP announced the acquisition of Emarsys, a specialist in maximising customer engagement, in a deal designed to strengthen the position of Europe's leading software company in the digital marketing segment.
The agreement, the terms of which were not disclosed, will enable the German group to offer its customers personalised interactions via e-mail, mobile telephony, social networks and the Internet in general.
Powered by artificial intelligence, Emarsys' platform offers brands customer personalisation across multiple channels and devices to increase multi-channel engagement, retention and loyalty.
Founded in Austria, the company employ 800 employees in 13 branches and has 1500 customers including Nike, Tupperware and Betclic.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
