RWE: adjusted NP more than doubles in 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - RWE has announced an adjusted net profit of E3.
23bn for 2022, more than double the figure for the previous year (E1.55bn).

Also between 2021 and 2022, adjusted EBITDA also increased significantly from E3.62bn to E6.31bn, while adjusted EBIT rose from E2.18bn to E4.56bn.

Further projects with a total capacity of 6 gigawatts are currently under construction, management said, adding that RWE now has a leading position in all key regions, i.e. the EU, UK and US.

This year, RWE is targeting adjusted earnings of E2.2bn to E2.7bn, with the company believing that optimisation gains and energy trading are unlikely to reach the high levels of 2022. In addition, European and UK revenue caps are causing profit losses.
