Merck KGaA: proposes record dividend for 2021

45 euro to an all-time high of 1.85 euro for FY 2021, in which EPS excluding extraordinary items reached 8.72 euros.

The German chemicals and healthcare group posted a 17.3% increase in EBITDA to 6.1 billion euros, giving an adjusted EBITDA margin that improved to 31%, on sales that rose 12.3% to 19.7 billion euros.

For 2022, Merck expects strong organic growth in net sales and adjusted EBITDA. All business segments are expected to contribute to the positive development, with life sciences remaining the strongest growth driver.

The share is currently up about 0.5%, outperforming the German market by about 1%.
