Merck KGaA: new partnership with Palantir

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Merck KGaA announced that it has signed a new partnership agreement with US technology company Palantir - this time for data analysis in the semiconductor sector.


The German pharmaceutical group - which also manufactures high-performance materials - explains that the joint platform, called "Athinia", will use artificial intelligence and "big data", i.e. the processing of huge databases, to solve problems such as the current shortage of chips.

It also aims to improve the quality of components, increase transparency in the supply chain and shorten time-to-market, Merck said in a statement.
