BMW: to produce electric motors in Steyr (Austria)
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW has announced that its site in Steyr (Austria) will host the production and development of the group's electric motors from 2025.
The BMW Group will invest around one billion euros in the development of competences in this field by 2030.
The significant increase in capacity, which was announced by the company at an event today, will ensure that the Steyr plant remains the manufacturer's main electric drive plant.
Eventually, the plant's production capacity should reach 600,000 units per year.
