Nestlé: towards more sustainable water management

(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé Waters, Nestlé's bottled water subsidiary, has announced that it will increase its efforts to achieve sustainable water management to regenerate ecosystems in the areas surrounding each of Nestlé Waters' 48 sites through the implementation of over 100 projects.

Nestlé will invest 120 million Swiss francs ($130 million) to help implement these projects.

It says it wants to play an active role in conserving water resources wherever it operates. To do this, the group will work with many partners to develop tailor-made projects that help find local solutions, said Muriel Lienau, head of the Water business.

The new initiative builds on the company's 2017 commitment to certify all Nestlé Waters sites through the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) by 2025.
