Alcon: Jefferies initiates coverage with 'buy' rating

(CercleFinance.com) - An analyst at Jefferies said on Monday that he is initiating his coverage of the Alcon share with a "buy" rating.

Note that the company was floated on the Zurich Stock Exchange last Tuesday, with an opening price of 55 Swiss francs.

"Our consumer and doctor surveys (released earlier), suggest substantial opportunity for PRECISION1 (daily lenses) and for AT-IOLs and PanOptix (cataract)," the broker said.

Jefferies has a target price of 70 dollars for the subsidiary of Novartis.
