ABB: brings autonomous technology to Singapore

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announces that, in collaboration with Keppel Marine and Deepwater Technology (KMDTech), a contract to develop a technology enabling autonomous tugboat operations in the Port of Singapore, towards the end of 2020.


During this project, a ship operated by Keppel Smit Towage will perform a series of navigational tasks in a test area, remotely controlled by an onshore control center, with the vessel performing autonomous collision avoidance tasks while under remote supervision.
