Holcim: strengthens insulation business in US

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Holcim announced that it will strengthen its position in the US roofing and insulation market with the acquisition of the Texan company SES Foam.


The Swiss cement maker said it had reached an agreement to buy the spray foam insulation specialist, which is expected to generate sales of 200 million dollars this year.

Including the recent acquisitions of Firestone Building Products and Malarkey in the same business area, Holcim's annual sales in the roofing and insulation segment are now expected to total 3.5 billion dollars.

Holcim says that SES has a long history of "double-digit growth".
