Novartis: stock up - Berenberg says 'buy'

(CercleFinance.com) - The Novartis share is the sharpest riser in the Swiss SMI index on Tuesday morning, with the pharmaceutical company benefiting from Berenberg comments, which has begun to monitor the share with a buy rating.


At 11:20 a.m., the stock was up 0.7%, outperforming a 0.3% decline in the SMI and the STOXX Europe 600 Health Care index.

Berenberg - which has a target price of 96 Swiss francs for the Novartis share - this morning began to cover 11 leading pharmaceutical stocks, having adopted buy ratings on AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis.
