Novartis: approves dividend at AGM

(CercleFinance.com) - Novartis announces that its shareholders have approved all the resolutions proposed by the board of directors at its annual general meeting, including a 2019 dividend of 2.
95 Swiss francs per share, up 4%. It will be paid on 5 March.

Shareholders also reappointed Joerg Reinhardt as chairman of the board of directors, as well as all the other members who stood for re-election. Bridgette Heller and Simon Moroney have been elected to the board of directors.

Finally, the Swiss health group's shareholders have approved the cancellation of 60,313,900 shares bought back by Novartis as part of its seventh and eighth share buyback programs in 2019.
