Novartis: picks new president for pharma unit

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss drugmaker Novartis said that it will put an experienced leader in charge of its pharmaceuticals business unit, after its former head resigned to take on the role of CEO at Sanofi.


Novartis today that Marie-France Tschudin has been appointed as president of Novartis Pharmaceuticals, with immediate effect, with Paul Hudson is leaving the company to become Sanofi's CEO.

A Swiss citizen, Marie-France Tschudin has over 25 years' experience in the pharmaceuticals and biotech industry, Novartis said.

She joined Novartis in January 2017, after spending 10 years at the US biotech company Celgene.
