Ageas: appoints new CFO

(CercleFinance.com) - Belgian insurer Ageas announced on Tuesday that Wim Guilliams will succeed Christophe Boizard as the group's chief financial officer as from 1 June.


Guilliams, who is currently CFO of Ageas' Belgian subsidiary, joined the group in 2015 after holding several management positions at KBC in Belgium and Eastern Europe, as well as ING Insurance in Belgium.

As CFO, he will join the group's board of directors, an appointment that will be submitted to the general shareholdermeeting on 17 May.

His future predecessor, Christophe Boizard, will retire after more than 11 years as CFO, a position in which he contributed to launching its reinsurance business.

The news to be snubbed by the market though, with Ageas share currently down over 3.5%.
