Bekaert: share soars after its results.

(CercleFinance.com) - Bekaert shares are soaring 7.
1% on Wednesday at midday, with the stock the sharpest riser on the BEL 20 index.

Investors welcome the group's sound performance over the first quarter.
Its revenues have jumped 20% year-on-year to 1.06 billion euros, thanks to strong growth in volumes and mergers and acquisitions.

Furthermore, organic growth exceeded 10%, said Bekaert, which in its press release welcomed the fact that it had continued growth in the automotive, industrial steel and construction sectors.

Another piece of good news from a geographical point of view is that the group recorded strong organic growth in all sectors, apart from in Latin America, where the group is faced with fiercer competitive pressure generated by stronger local currencies and weak demand.
