GE: partnership with Uk Power Networks

(CercleFinance.com) - GE Digital announced its partnership with UK Power Networks last night, as part of Constellation, named after the world's first smart power station project, designed to optimise distribution network utilisation and growth of renewable energy production across the UK.


Using powerful computers, Constellation will benefit from progress in software engineering, machine learning and systems optimisation to make power stations interoperable and secure.

The project aims to release 1.4 GW of capacity and save consumers over 750 million pounds by 2050. It is also expected to save over 17.8 million tonnes of harmful greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, GE says.
